Syracuse-based Product and UI/UX Designer with some Bay Area and Boston flavor thrown in for good measure.

I have over 20 years of experience designing digital products and experiences, and building teams that get things done. I’ve worked in both agency and in-house environments, for clients ranging from small non-profits to some of the largest corporate entities in the world. I believe the most effective product design comes from an unrelenting focus on the user, and I’m passionate about creating products and crafting experiences that speak to users in a way that materially impacts their lives.

My name’s Greg Wright. I’m originally from Syracuse, NY and I’ve recently relocated back home after spending most of my working life in Boston and San Francisco. I most recently worked at Informa PLC, where I was the UI/UX Design Director for their Informa Markets division. I led a small team of UI and UX designers, focusing on building product platforms and websites for Informa Markets’ many industry events and conferences.

My expertise is in applying design thinking to the building of complex design systems that scale; I love finding the delicate balance between business needs, engineering constraints, and the needs of the user. I approach my projects with an intense focus on process – I think good process paves the way for good design, and so I’ve become an adept project manager capable of coordinating diverse teams and individuals from backgrounds including marketing, product, design, development, and engineering. This focus has provided me with a unique understanding of what drives my colleagues and clients, and how to best make use of everyone’s talents to bring about the best final product.

When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my amazing wife Sarah, our beautiful daughter Aria, and our American Foxhound-mix dog Daphne. I love reading, music, photography, travel, tattoos, and working on my motorcycle.
